Bullet-proofing Voip (Part 1)
There are 5 identified threats for VoIP technology that have been determined and verified by the IEEE and many industry experts for 2008. DoS Attacks, VoIP Eavesdropping, Microsoft Office Communications Service (MOCS), Vishing (phishing for VoIP) and VoIP attacks against Service providers. As we see, there are no shortages of problems with regards to security and reliability which prevents most firms from picking up on the new technology we all know as VoIP. In the following posts will try to dissect and discuss the said threats as we try to gain better understanding of their implications for a business environment.
