HD Voip? (Part 1)
The world’s voice call traffic is centered in the sound range of 3,500Hz down to 300Hz which was so old tech way back when copper was the transmission medium of choice. In today’s world of Fiber Optics and other faster technologies, why the hell are we still suffering from the poor sound quality that regular phone lines are offering. For over two years, proponents of the Voip open source community have been working to develop and test voice quality in the upper 16 KHz to 32 KHz range that would be a great improvement to our voice calls. They have come up with several systems that offers such high quality audio output for Voip-based calls and they are beginning to get noticed.
